Fair Use Disclaimer

Like other Internet sites which provide news, entertainment and other information for public dissemination, Mark's World often features copyrighted digital images of work that has been released by other individuals, companies or organizations to promote intellectual property depicted in the media, via advertising material, solicitation information, press releases or as part of a press kit or promotional Web site. As often as is possible, the sources for these works are cited (and no claim of ownership is made, save for those rare instances in which artwork is noted as proprietary in nature).

This site waives all claims of ownership to others' artistic creations as the copyright for these works is most likely owned by the company or organization which created the intellectual property or the artist who produced the item in question.

It is believed that the use of certain low-resolution images:

• to illustrate the work, product or intellectual property in question for the purpose of commenting upon such items;
• in the absence of free images that could serve such a purpose;
• to reflect or make fair comment upon the news of the day;
• for the non-profit use of Mark's World visitors;

qualifies as fair use under United States Copyright law. Other uses of these images may constitute infringement. See Copyrights for more information.

In addition, privately produced videos or movies that are posted by users on such sites as YouTube.Com or MySpace.Com with subsequent codes to enable ease of sharing on other private Web sites or blogs are considered publishable under fair use provisions of U.S. Copyright law. The same holds for other works deemed in the public domain under U.S. Copyright law.

At all times, the intent is to respect the artistic work of others. To report any abuses on www.marksweetwood.blogspot.com or to provide source information as evidence of ownership, please direct comments to: marksweetwood@aol.com.
